Stansell is hiring Project Specific Helpers to work on an 18 to 24 month electrical construction project in Ft. Knox, Kentucky. Upon completion of this project, employment may or may not be continued dependent on overall project load at that time. The ideal candidate will have previous construction experience and be able to perform the basic functions of the job as described below.

 

             Assist in all aspects of installation, alteration, demolition, maintenance and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors, assemblies, and associated materials and equipment on all type of projects within the electrical construction industry. The Electrical Helper must demonstrate the mechanical aptitude, mathematical skills, and literacy skills commensurate to the satisfactory completion of position's primary duties and responsibilities.



Responsibilities:

 

1.            Perform the basic tasks of material handling, jobsite housekeeping, tool and equipment maintenance, and general labor.

2.            Dig trenches and excavations by use of hand tools and power equipment under general supervision.

3.            Assist in underground conduit installation.

4.            Assist in mounting, securing, and installing electrical raceways, fixtures, and systems.

5.            Assist in wire pulling procedures.

6.            Assemble pre-fabricated systems under general supervision.

7.            Performs all tasks in a timely manner.

8.            Understand and follow jobsite directions and instructions, both written and verbal.

9.            Comprehends and abides by Stansell Electric customer policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Reports all violations to immediate supervisor.

10.        Understand/Perform other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervision.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Current drivers license
  • Attention to details
  • Strong code of ethics
  • Service oriented, good “people skills”

PREFERRED:

  • Experience in the Construction Industry (we will consider less experienced candidates provided they can demonstrate their willingness to learn, flexibility, pleasant demeanor, and superior intelligence)
  • General knowledge of the electrical field
