Assist in gathering, calculating and compiling data for use in bid proposal estimates for one or more divisions

Typical Duties:

1.       Perform quantity take-offs from blue prints / project drawings

2.       Prepare and send Requests for Quotes (RFQ) for packaged materials and subcontractors

3.       Participate in developing project estimates and change order estimates

4.       Maintain files for working documents and back-up for estimates

5.       Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience:

·         Educational and experience requirements include: Four year Engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience.

·         0-2 years estimating experience, engineering or similar experience.

·         General knowledge of estimating techniques.

·         Ability to calculate mathematical problems, read and understand engineering drawings, and communicate well in written and verbal forms.

·         Strong computer skills.

Comments:  This is an entry level professional position with prerequisites.  The technical aspect, as well as company procedures, for this position can be learned though on-the-job training (OJT).
