Stansell is hiring one Lead Data Technician to work in and around the Southeastern U.S.A. which requires travel to different areas depending upon Project assignment. The ideal candidate will have previous Building Electrical installation experience and be able to perform the basic functions of the job as described below.
Assist and/or perform all aspects of installation, alteration, demolition, maintenance and/or repair of communication systems, cable projects, and associated equipment on all type of projects within the communication construction industry. The DC3 must demonstrate the mechanical aptitude, mathematical skills, and literacy skills commensurate to the satisfactory completion of position's primary duties and responsibilities.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Proficient in all duties of Data/Comm Helper, Data/Comm Level 1 Technician, and Data/Comm Level 2 Technician.

Proficient in all low voltage and fiber terminations.

Mastery of industry standard and specialized copper and fiber test equipment.

Perform layout, assembly and installation of complex cable support and wire management systems.
-
Proficient in telecom demarcation layout, cross connect techniques, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Mastery of BICSI/TIA installation standards (BICSI Technician Certification).

Proven understanding of the NEC, NFPA, NTSC and all communications related codes and standards.

Create and modify as built drawings
-
Assist in the procurement and management of projects as required.

Perform training and instructional workshops as required.

Proven ability to successfully lead any type of Data/Communications project.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understand and follow jobsite directions and instructions, both written and verbal.

Perform the basic tasks of material handling, jobsite housekeeping, tool and equipment maintenance, and general labor.

Perform basic conduit and raceway installation including the bending of conduit with hand benders.

Perform basic assembly and installation of cable support and wire management systems.

Proven ability to use cable placement tools and specialized cable tuggers.
-
Performs all tasks in a timely manner.

Read and understand schematics, blueprints, and instruction manuals.

Achieve and Maintain any licenses / certifications as required by management.
